Small hand fan for a young girl. Smaller than the usual fans of this period, this fan measures 7,87 inches long closed and 14,76 inches in open diameter. The mount is finely engraved and sculpted ivory. The leaf is in skin. It is painted with a gallant scene. Circa 1780
