Fan “Psyche and Eros”, horse, circa 1830
Fan “Psyche and Eros”. Rare fan of the first part of the nineteenth century. Gilded metal guard stiks, with imitation of coral, ruby and tuquoise. The mother-of-pearl stiks are engraved, gilded and painted. The leaf is skin lined with paper. It is painted on the first face of Aphrodite sermonizing Psyche and Eros, and painted on the back of a woman and a horse. It measures 20 cm closed and 38 cm in open diameter. It is in very good condition, some wear on the paint on the back stiks.
